With this book and her others, my daughter learned to read. She is dyslexic but something in the illustrations, topic and font made her want to read this. Most of Ms. Green's books are out of print but I would encourage any parent of a child with a language based reading disability to search for "Sylvia Green" and "Scholastic Books" and scoop them up. Sorry, though. I will never part with mine.
